Montblanc Starwalker Fountain Pen Review:
The pen is moderately sized, and feels very comfortable in the hand. It is not what I would consider small, but it is not large. There really is no such thing as a perfect sized pen, but this one comes close. It is a great size overall, with some nice weight to it, but it is not uncomfortable. It’s nice, without any major distractions from the pen itself. The balance of the pen is excellent, with the elongated barrel giving the pen a very comfortable feel in the hand.
The pen also looks beautiful on paper, and could pass nearly unnoticed by anyone who is told it is a pen. The pen itself is limited, and hence is a great investment for anyone looking to obtain a prized Montblanc pen. It’s not your standard Montblanc pen…. It’s the sort of thing people start saving for once they get comfortable with their first pens… It’s a great collector’s item that I hope the company releases into full production (I LOVE IT). It’s a very distinct writing instrument, and I can see why it needs to be limited. It’s an excellent choice to go with the Starwalker name.
As far as writing, this pen is a nearly perfect pen. The ink flows evenly across the paper, with no skipping or skipping. You can easily write at very fast speeds, as the pen really is virtually flawless. I am very impressed with this pen in the writing performance category. There is virtually nothing I can point out that needs to be changed. It’s very comfortable, looks very nice, and feels right in the hand. The Starwalker is a pen I will use for a good long while during my writing, which indicates it will also be a pen I will treasure for years. If you can find this pen for sale, I would highly encourage it. I intend to get a couple of these pens when I can. You really get a premium feel for a premium price. This almost makes the Montblanc Starwalker Fountain Pen worth every penny!
